Matt - Managing Director

Matt has spent more than 18 years working professionally within the bereavement sector, supporting families with care, dignity, and compassion. For the past seven years he has also worked as a professional drone pilot, combining technical expertise with a natural aptitude for calm, precise, and sensitive work.

As Managing Director of Aerial Ashes, Matt brings together his experience in bereavement care and his passion for drone aviation to offer families meaningful, personalised ash-scattering ceremonies across the UK. He loves what he does and is driven by a genuine desire to help people honour their loved ones in a beautiful and memorable way.

Richard Newton

Richard brings almost 30 years of experience working with bereaved families, offering support with kindness, patience, and professionalism. His long-standing background in the bereavement sector means he instinctively understands how to help people feel reassured and cared for during emotionally difficult times.

For the past six years, Richard has also been a professional drone operator, combining technical skill with a calm, measured approach to every flight. His commitment to safety, precision, and dignity ensures each ash-scattering ceremony is carried out with the utmost respect.

Richard’s rare blend of deep bereavement experience and advanced drone expertise allows him to deliver a compassionate, reliable, and highly professional service for every family he supports.

Andy Doyle - Northern Lead

Andy is a true gentleman with nearly 30 years’ experience supporting bereaved families with empathy, calmness, and professionalism. His background in the bereavement sector has given him a deep understanding of how to guide people through some of life’s most difficult moments.

For the past six years, Andy has also worked as a professional drone operator, bringing precision, safety, and technical excellence to every flight. His steady manner and attention to detail make him ideally suited to delivering dignified and beautifully executed ash-scattering ceremonies.

Andy’s blend of long-standing bereavement experience and modern aviation skill ensures every family receives the highest standard of care, respect, and support.

James - Scotish Lead

James considers it a privilege to be part of the Aerial Ashes team and an honour to be entrusted with families’ plans for their loved ones. He is committed to delivering every ceremony with dignity, respect, and uncompromising safety, always holding himself to the highest standards of service.

Louise - Customer Development Manager & PA to the Managing Director

Louise brings a deep, compassionate understanding of end-of-life care to her role at Aerial Ashes. Her background in supporting individuals and families through sensitive conversations about death, dying, grief, and legacy enables her to provide exceptional care, clarity, and reassurance to every client she works with.

She creates safe, supportive spaces for people to explore their wishes and feel informed and empowered throughout their journey. Alongside her work at Aerial Ashes, Louise is training as an End-of-Life Doula with Living Well Dying Well and is a member of End of Life Doula UK. She is also a Founding Director of Mortality Education CIC and works with Legacy Share to help communities reflect on legacy, meaning, and planning for the future.

Louise’s rare blend of professional expertise, emotional insight, and organisational skill makes her a vital part of the Aerial Ashes team, ensuring every family receives warmth, guidance, and thoughtful support from their very first conversation.
